Why is the Whop Discord bot not giving roles?

The short answer
If the Whop Discord bot is not giving roles, check the bot’s permissions and position in Discord’s role list first. Then check the roles selected in Whop, the product’s access settings, and the buyer’s linked account. A paid membership and a working invite do not prove that every role setting is correct.
Checks for the server owner
Confirm that the official bot is in the right server. Follow Whop’s role-order guidance and make sure the bot can manage the selected member roles. Refresh the roles in Whop after editing them in Discord.
Check the role selected in the Discord app and the product linked to that app. Also check channel permissions: a member can have a role but still be unable to see a channel. Use the app’s event log if configured.
Checks for the member
Open the purchased whop, choose the Discord app, and claim access with the linked Discord account you use. Check that the membership is active. If you have more than one account, compare the email with your receipt.
Give the seller the order details and the exact missing role or channel. Do not share your password or login code. If a membership has ended, the seller’s cancellation settings may remove roles or server access.
