How do I sell digital products on YouTube?
Updated
The video teaches, the link sells
Teach the thing properly in the video, then sell the shortcut. Put the link in the first line of the description, in a pinned comment, and mention it once on screen at the point it becomes obviously useful. A tutorial with the template linked outsells any advert you could make.
The teaching is what earns the click. The link just has to be easy to find.
Where to put the link
First line of the description, a pinned comment, and an on-screen mention. Not all three in the first ten seconds.
Say what the link is, not just "link below". People need a reason to look.
Search beats subscribers
YouTube is a search engine. A video answering a specific question keeps earning long after it is posted.
Title it the way somebody would search it, not the way a channel would brand it.
One link, permanently
Your back catalogue is your best sales channel, so the link must keep working. Do not point videos at a page you will replace.
Point them all at one catalogue page, and add products to it over time.
