Is Whop legit and safe to use?
Updated
The company is real
Yes, Whop is legit. It is a funded company based in the United States that runs real card payments, sends real receipts, and pays real sellers. The platform is not a scam. What varies is the individual seller, because anyone can list something, so judge the listing rather than the site.
Your card details are handled by normal payment processors, the same ones used by shops you already buy from.
The thing to actually check is the seller
Whop is a place, not a promise. Anybody can list something on it, the same way anybody can list something on eBay or open a shop on Etsy.
Most bad experiences people report are about one seller who over-promised, not about Whop. Read the reviews on the specific listing, not the reviews of the platform.
Warning signs on a listing
Be careful with anything promising a set amount of money, guaranteed trading returns, or "copy my signals and you cannot lose". Nobody can guarantee that.
Also look at how long the seller has been active, how many members they have, and whether the refund rule is written down. A seller who hides the refund rule is telling you something.
If you are selling, not buying
Selling on Whop is low risk. You are not paying up front, you keep your own content, and you can leave.
The real question is whether your audience is already somewhere you can point at a link. If it is, the platform is fine.
