Sell the set, not single brushes
To sell Procreate brushes, export a set you built yourself as a brushset file, show large samples of real strokes and finished artwork, and include short install instructions. Only brushes made from your own source textures and settings are yours to sell. Deliver it through a store that handles downloads automatically, and state clearly whether buyers may use the brushes in work they sell.
A single brush is hard to price. A coherent set with a name is a product.
Previews are the product
Buyers cannot try a brush before they buy it, so the preview has to do the work. Show each brush as a bare stroke and inside a finished piece, using brushes you built rather than adjusted copies of somebody else’s.
Use the same subject across the set so the differences between brushes are obvious at a glance.
Set the licence plainly
Illustrators want to know whether artwork made with your brushes can be sold, and whether it can be used for client work.
Write the answer in plain words on the product page. Do not make buyers open a document to find out.
Where the buyers are
Most sales come from your own artwork. Illustrators see a texture they want and follow it back to the shop.
A marketplace adds browsers. A free sample brush is the cheapest advert for the paid set.
