Start with people who already know you

Almost every first digital product sale comes from someone who already knows you: a colleague, a follower, a group member. Make a list of ten people who have the problem your product solves, and message each one personally. Tell them what you made, what it costs, and ask if they want it.

A message, not a broadcast. The list of ten is the whole plan.

Ask directly

"I made this because you asked about X. Here is what it costs. Want it?" That is the entire message.

Most people never ask. They post a link and hope. Asking feels awkward and works.

Then go where the problem is discussed

Find the forum thread, the subreddit, the Discord channel where people describe the problem in their own words.

Be genuinely useful there for a while before you mention that you made something. That order matters.

What not to do first

Do not run ads. Do not build a funnel. Do not redesign the page. Do not start a second product.

All of those are comfortable ways of avoiding the one uncomfortable thing that works: asking somebody to buy.
