Whop vs Kajabi: which should I use?
Updated
The short answer
Kajabi is an all-in-one course business suite: courses, landing pages, email marketing and funnels, paid for with a monthly subscription. Whop is a community and selling platform that takes a cut of sales instead, with no bill before your first one. Kajabi is heavier; Whop is cheaper to start.
What Kajabi gives you that Whop does not
Marketing machinery. Email sequences, landing page builders, funnels, upsells and automations all live inside it, which matters if your sales come from paid traffic and long nurture campaigns.
A fully branded site on your own domain, so buyers never see another company’s name.
What Whop gives you that Kajabi does not
No monthly bill while you build. A course takes weeks to record, and a subscription elsewhere runs the whole time you are making it.
A community with automatic access control sitting beside the course, plus the ability to sell files, memberships and a course together without extra tools.
How to choose
Work out where your buyers come from. If the answer is paid ads and email funnels, Kajabi’s monthly fee buys the machinery that makes those work.
If the answer is a group you already talk to, the machinery is largely idle and you are paying for it every month. Start on the per-sale model and move later if the numbers change.
