What digital products can I sell as a beginner?
Updated
The short answer
As a beginner, sell a checklist, a spreadsheet tracker, a template or a short guide, built from work you already do. Each takes days rather than months, needs no new software, and is easy to describe in one line. That last part matters more than most beginners expect.
Pick the one that already exists in rough form on your own computer.
Why these four
They are finishable. A beginner’s biggest risk is a project that never ships, and a short product removes that risk entirely.
They are also easy for a buyer to judge from a preview, so you do not need a long sales page or a launch.
How to choose between them
Pick the format that matches the thing you know. A process becomes a checklist. Numbers become a spreadsheet. A layout becomes a template. An explanation becomes a guide.
If two fit, pick the shorter one. You can always build the bigger version once somebody has paid for the small one.
What to avoid on the first one
Courses, membership subscriptions, large bundles and anything needing video. All of them take months and most beginners abandon them.
Also avoid a product for an audience you do not know. You will not be able to tell whether it failed on the product or on the marketing.
